Overnight Camping Frequently Asked Questions
Overnight Camping Frequently Asked Questions
Great question! We know that it can be confusing, so we want to provide a quick snapshot of the pros / cons of each site to allow for you to pick the one that is best suited for your stay.
Group Campsites (6-15 adults): We have two very large campsites that are best for groups of approximately 6 to 15 adults (there is no limit for children who are free to camp). They are private and can accommodate tents or trailers. The sites do not have hydro or water hook-up at the site. A private outhouse is dedicated to each site.
Multi-Family Campsites (4-6 adults): We have two campsites that are large and private. They are called The Pines, and The Cedars. These sites are best for 2-3 families who would like to stay on the same campsite together.
Serviced Campsites (up to 4 adults): We have three serviced campsites (#112, #116 and #120). These sites have 30-amp hydro hook-up and water hook up at the site. They can accommodate trailers up to 32 feet in length. You may need a 30A male / 15A female RV adapter for these sites (similar to this), depending on what you are plugging in.
Unserviced Campsites (up to 4 adults): We have a number of overnight campsites that do not have water or hydro hook-up at the site. These are best for tents or small trailers not requiring power. Each site is unique and we are proud to be able to offer campsites that are private and natural.
Seasonal Campsites: Seasonal campsites are for people wishing to stay at the park from park opening (Victoria Day long weekend) and Thanksgiving. Seasonal sites are renewed annually based on availabilities.
The check in time is 1pm and the check out time is Noon.
If you expect to be late when checking in (e.g., after 8PM), please let us know by phone or email and we will ensure you have all of the information you need for check-ins.
Also, a later check out time may be possible depending if the campsite is reserved on your check-out day or not. Ask in store for more information and we are happy to accommodate.
There is a two-night stay minimum on weekend, or a three-night stay minimum on long weekends.

Recent updates to cell phone towers near our park have made excellent cell phone coverage for those on the Rogers network. However, other providers (e.g., Bell) have spotty reception throughout the park.
We ask that you bring your garbage up to the dumpster and recycling bins located near the main office at the entrance to the park. We strive to recycle all materials possible, so we ask that you sort your recyclables in to the designated bins. Do not worry – we have made it easy for everyone! There is a bin for each material type and they are all well labeled. All other household garbage can be placed in the dumpster. Please note that we only accept household garbage.
At this time we do not rent boats, kayaks or canoes. We do have a boat launch located in the park though, where you are welcome to launch your own boat from.
Regular serviced and unserviced campsites: Each campsite rental includes the use for up to 4 adults (there is no limit on children). If more than 4 adults will be staying on the site with you, they can purchase a day or overnight pass at the park store.
If you wish to pay the registration fee in advance for your visitors, that is no problem. You can make arrangements at the park store by providing their names and their arrival dates.
Quiet time in the park is 11pm to 8am. In order to respect everyone in the park, we ask that music be kept low after this time. Songs around the campfire are always welcome!
We ask that ATVs and mini bikes are not brought to the park. This is because the roads throughout the park are narrow and there are many families with small children playing throughout the park.
If you are hoping to go on local trails with your ATV, you are able to bring it trailered or in the back of your vehicle. We just ask that you trailer it into/out of the park.
